Yumuri is one of the few sons of the now
deceased, international and national champion classic fino stallion, Simbolo de Besilu.
Yumuri represents three extraordinary bloodlines...21% Contrapunto; 14%
Resorte; 12% Pistolero; and 10% of Desvelo, Gaucho and Anfitrion.
Outstanding bloodlines abound on his dam side with such foundation
broodmares as La Cabinera, La Classica del Classico and La Anfitriona.
Yumuri is the product of generations of
selective breeding by some of the most highly respected Paso Fino
breeders of the last 100 years...the Tobon family, breeders of
Contrapunto; Don Fabio Ochoa, breeder of Capuchino; Dr. Villa,
breeder of Resorte III; Mr. Ruben Briar breeder of Resorte IV;
Mr. Millo Sarrain, breeder of Plebeyo; Mr. Benjamin Leon, breeder of
Simbolo de Besilu; and Mr. Erni Sanz, breeder of La Catedra de Gudalupe
and her son Yumuri de Kanm.
Yumuri made his debut appearance at 2004 Spectrum in the 4 yr. old
schooling fino colts and placed 4th against an outstanding crop of
colts. In 2006 at Tropical Park in Miami, amid a host of favorites
including Silencio La Rosa ridden by David Castro, Yumuri, exhibited by
Jose Ramon Fernandez "El Che", trainer of the legendary Maraquita La
Rosa, won his class in an emotional grand finale by defeating
international champion, Dulcero de La Yaya .
As a breeding stallion, Yumuri possesses the
necessary attributes to enhance your breeding program... beautiful
correct conformation, quiet croup, powerful hock action,
polished classic fino gait and a wonderful disposition.
Yumuri represents generations of greatness, and is destined to leave his
mark on the next generation!
